Great place, clean, good food and near to pretty places

Its an ok place, clean and its discrete if you plan to go to a motel, it offers you the basics you could expect and is modern and confy

Swimming pool was nice, but the gym was a bit small

Here's the deal.    First thing is you are in the Toluca or Metepec area, your options are therefore limited. Book a room at La Muralla, don't overthink this.  I like clean hotels with amenities, this place is it.   You aren't far from anything because there really isn't that much in the general area.  Ubers and taxis are very inexpensive. If you can, pop for the junior suite, let me explain further.   You get a decent size living room that is completely separate from the main bedroom.  If you are traveling with children this is perfect, yes it has a sofa bed. The king bed is comfortable and the bedroom itself is large.   The flatscreen television in the bedroom is easily a 70" Samsung smart TV.  Enjoy, I already told you. Now the highlight....the bathroom.   Make some time to use the steam shower.  Don't worry about doing the math, set the steam setting to about 45 degrees Celsius, let the shower get cooking for about 10 minutes then grab a seat on the stool sit back and enjoy the elements.   It's truly a nice touch.  The bathroom also has a nicer than average jacuzzi tub.  Full disclosure I did not use. The food at the restaurant is pleasant but you are already in Mexico and in an area with many culinary delights so wander around for food.  The spa is worth a visit and the staff is friendly. An outdoor synthetic tennis court is available and if you are a tennis fan it is a different experience both the surface and the altitude. Oh and the indoor pool is large and climate controlled. That's it, if you have read this far you either don't trust me or are difficult to impress.  Hurry up and book the junior suite before someone else does, you have been warned. Viva Mexico.
